Special Olympics

Franklin Heights High School is gearing up for their second season of Special Olympics basketball and cheerleading. The team is comprised of athletes in their 9th-12th grade year in addition to our recently graduated students up to age 22. The basketball team is coached by Erin Henschen and Julie Raccio and the cheerleaders are coached by Mary Furr. We will play different teams from around Columbus, including New Albany, Upper Arlington and Central Crossing High School.  Last year was the inaugural season for Special Olympics at Franklin Heights and the team finished with a record of 8-0. The administration, faculty, student body, and community supported the team throughout the whole season. This season the team is looking forward to having some away games and traveling to different schools to play.  Franklin Heights Special Olympics will have their first game on January 3, 2018. The team will be playing Worthington Special Olympics at home. The game will start at 7 pm. We hope to see you come out and cheer on your Franklin Heights Special Olympics Golden Falcons!
